Who is WFH USA?
A 501(c)(3) charity, WFH USA is the United States arm of the World Federation of Hemophilia, providing American citizens, foundations, and corporations the opportunity to help ensure treatment for all people with bleeding disorders.

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) is an international not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with hemophilia and related bleeding disorders. Since it was established in 1963, the WFH has grown into a truly global network with member organizations in more than 100 countries and official recognition from the World Health Organization. We work in partnership with healthcare professionals and people with hemophilia, governments and regulators, industry and foundations, to improve care for people with bleedings disorders throughout the world.

Our international programs and activities include:

  • Training doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Twinning medical centers and hemophilia organizations in the developing world with counterparts in developed countries
  • Delivering donations of life-saving treatment products to people in urgent need throughout the world.
  • Monitoring global threats to the safety and supply of products use to treat bleeding disorders, and advocating for improved safety.
  • Collecting vital statistics on the global hemophilia population to track improvements.
  • Disseminating the latest news and information on hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders.

WFH USA plays a vital role in this global mission by sourcing donations of hemophilia treatment products and delivering them free of charge to our partners in the developing world.

Who benefits?
Your donation of hemophilia treatment products benefits individuals in dire need in the developing world. Too many young people in the global hemophilia community suffer from disability and pain. Often, they use unsafe treatment products and therefore face a high risk of acquiring HIV and hepatitis C. By donating to WFH USA, you help ensure the delivery of safe, effective blood treatment products to people around the world in urgent need. You give hope to families.

Global Snapshot:

  • 75% of people with hemophilia worldwide live in developing countries.
  • One in three people treated has hepatitis C.
  • One in 10 has HIV.
  • Many die before adulthood.
