What we do
Supporting young women with bleeding disorders worldwide
Through the Susan Skinner Memorial Fund scholarships, young women with bleeding disorders from the U.S. and abroad have the opportunity to further their knowledge and skills. The scholarships are awarded to exceptional young women with bleeding disorders, aged 18 to 30, who demonstrate outstanding leadership potential to improve the treatment and care of people with bleeding disorders within their country. The scholarship provides for travel, accommodation and registration fees for training at one of the World Federation of Hemophilia’s educational events.
The scholarships honor the dedication and perseverance of the late Susan Skinner, an American mother of children with bleeding disorders who was determined to ensure the availability of safe and effective treatment.
